There are some moments in life that make you realize you are not nearly as strong as you think you are, like when your friends ask you to help them move after the age of 35. Moving a couch up 3 flights of stairs suddenly goes from an annoying task to 24 hours of bed rest from a bad back. Carrying all the groceries inside in one trip is no longer worth the pain that comes with it (it used to mean admitting defeat).Having a baby elephant walk up to you and decide that you are now responsible for giving him a piggyback ride would definitely be one of those moments.
I would not have been able to deny his request. You know how moms are capable of incredible feats of strength when necessary to protect or save their child? Pretty sure that would happen to me in this scenario.

Videos like this are dangerous because they're so cute. It allows you to easily to see the childlike curiosity that elephants have. They love to play, text boundaries, seek reassurance, and are completely unaware of how large they are (or how enormous they will become). Watching all of that happen with a human makes the whole interaction feel almost domestic.
But, we have to say it, though: elephants are wild animals and are not meant to be domesticated. They have whole societies and traditions, not to mention that they would never fit in your house. Well, they might for a few months, but after that, no way.
